Affliction! New addition to Strong Truths Community

This June a new section titled Affliction will become a part of the Strong Truths Community. As youths and young adults, what we take in each day is what defines our lives. However, our difficult as well as our great moments shape us as artists and lead to many strong creations.

Affliction will be a place where we discuss our daily lives, voicing our day especially if it was a rough one. It will be a place to have someone hear our words or learn from someone’s experience. We can discuss stresses of our lives such as school, family, friends, abuse (verbal & physical), racial issues, learning difficulties or other set backs. We can discuss pressures such as drugs, smoking, alcohol, and dating. Our identity, the awkwardness of being a person, being different, walking through the halls and being present in class with friends and enemies. Our true honest lives.

We all have to deal with the afflictions of life. It isn’t a struggle to recall our private moments of pain from our past or present. The memories play back in our heads giving that familiar heavy burden we are forced to carry. It’s easy to relive the cautionary tale that life wrote and directed in the highest definition of sight and sound your mind can produce.

It could be a specific event or an entire era of your existence, like the inevitable years of High School. What happened, when did it happen, how did you feel, how do you feel now? What have you learned, gained or lost?

You will find that you are not alone. Check out Affliction coming this June!

Hello everyone!

I'm sure it will take you time to read this as there have been few updates! (perhaps I’ll email everyone) I have been focusing on expansion! As I have too many job titles! So for the summer of 2009 I will be able to focus on the important aspects of Strong Truths, you guys! The Contributors and their work!

I am in the middle of hiring for Strong Truths! It's a long and difficult process but I’m slowly working my way through resumes and emails! So that should all be done soon!

I am excited for the summer of 2009 working with staff, contributors and upcoming contributors! It's time to get this book publishing on the road! The community will start to grow, as I will no longer be spreading myself doing multiple jobs. So I thank all of you who have applied! Means a lot to me! And a huge thanks to Tracey Dahl! You're awesome!

More positions will be opening as time passes. I’m trying to keep it as small as possible. But that can only be stopped for so long and once it grows more staff will be needed.

If you have any thoughts or if you need anything please message me! My email is a busy place, but I always respond! So don't hesitate!

Strong Truths Community

I'm looking for writers who are interested in being moderators in a current topic or wish one to be created. I would like those who like to rant, vent, talk about movies, books, people, school, teachers, relationships, friendships, loss, death, family stress and all the crap that comes with it lol, life in general... whatever is on your mind. There are few borders here so please if you're interested in just writing random raw and honest articles please email me at strongtruths@ymail.com.

I want this to be a place for inspiration, yet a place for relaxation. To talk to one another get new ideas and lighten the load a bit...find others with our likes...others with different or similar experiences!

New! Strong Truths: Untold!!!

Just as we talked about we now have a Strong Truths: Untold! It is a branch off of the original Strong Truths: Concealed artistry, which is for young artists and writers ages 13-29. However, Strong Truths: Untold is for 18+. Not only are the contributors a little older but the topics will be for a mature audience, discussing anarchistic themes and of course love and relationships (honestly and in a way that has not been seen as conventional.)

The website has not been launched yet. But of course, just as we started with a blog for Strong Truths: Concealed Artistry we have also started a blog for Strong Truths: Untold (STU/STuntold). You can check it out here: http://www.strongtruthsuntold.wordpress.com. The website is in the works so keep your eyes opened! We have a fine selection of contributors! And for all of those who are already ST contributors who are 18 or older and have a few pieces that you knew wouldn't be suitable for STC, feel free to send it over you will be added as an STU contributor.

Also if you know others who were too old for STC you may give them heads of of STU!! Please encourage them to join now as I create the site I will be able to add their work without waiting for it! It will be growing right away rather than at a slower speed! Thanks everyone! You all are amazing!!

I know I know it's been ages since I've posted! It's awful there had to be a momentary 'hiatus' but it could not be avoided! However! Good news! A whole lot to come for the summer! All I ask in return is for all of your support! Spread the word on ST!

If you haven't noticed there is a 'Feedback' tab to the right of the main pages on Strong Truths. This feedback tab is there not just for basic feedback but for questions, to report a problem, an idea you have or to give praise to Strong Truths as a whole or individuals who have posted or you stumbled upon here on Strong Truths.

Check it out!

Each piece of customer feedback becomes a fully actionable topic that can be voted on, commented on etc.
This will allow you to join in and casteyour vote to prioritize the collection of ideas, questions, problems or priase.
You also have the option to post private feedback (which is sent to us directly via email)

We have gained the support of a clothing line in Toronto Canada. A big shout out to Kestin Cornwall of Elliptic Clothing Co.
He will be helping with the first production of tees for Strong Truths.

Tees will be the major funding for Strong Truths! It is the key to more resources and growth! We need the money to be honest. So be sure to purchase and spread the link to your friends when the shop is up!
